While our writing is "us" in a way, we have to separate ourselves from it enough not to be offended when people find fault in it. My goal is to constantly improve the craft. If someone else can point out a way to get better I'm open.
I love when people criticize my writing. It really helps me and I don't get easily offended. But doing it to other people's makes me feel so bad sometimes, because I know they all do not share my enthusiasm.
