I haven't sensed much interest in the blog lately so I haven't been checking. Apparently none of you have either.
This week's vocab is:

quandary

voluble
So. What did you think about Mrs. Davis's speech today? Was it helpful? This isn't necessarily looking for you to rant, but what concerns do you have? Let's talk.
I only caught the tail end, but I enjoyed it. It was very useful. College planning is a huge pool to dive into, so it was nice to have some information and a resource you can go to.
ReplyDeleteOh, yeah, check out insidecolleges.com. It's fun and makes it easier to look for colleges by preference.
I dont know, I couldnt here her much and then when she dropped the " Carolina wont accept you, I pretty much hyperventilated after that" and then died inside.
ReplyDeleteYou must have heard that phrase out of context...she would never with any defintiveness, say that Carolina won't accept you. We can make our predictions based upon what they have been accepting, but no one knows with certainty what a school will accept. You really need to get that Calculus score settled ASAP. Let me know if you need help.
ReplyDeleteAbout the not being able to hear situation. Honestly I was a little embarrassed not only by the class's inability to be quiet for a guest, but also the bellicose tone they greeted her with.
i went crazy when i was talking to my dad about the SATs... ughh this junk is so stressful. haha
ReplyDeleteI cant believe I spelled hear like here. I wasn't rude was I? I've been trying to, I at least go down to the office once a week to get an update and Mr. Obriant sends me to Mrs. Brandenburg and then she says its up to him. But I just left a note on both of their desks today, so hopefully they will call me down sometime this week or i'll go down later this week. I mean if I dont get into Chapel Hill, its not the end of the world, I just have wanted to go there for so long. But what do you think Mrs. Jones, Appalachian or Carolina for me?
ReplyDeleteand I know Melissa, it makes me want to have an anherism. I didnt spell that right, at all.
No you definitely did not spell that correctly. I can see you doing well wherever you go. You just have that ability to adapt. Don't let someone else's inaction prevent you from going to UNCCH. Follow up follow up follow up.
ReplyDeleteWell, I finally heard some news! Mr. Obriant is suppose to call my house over the break to figure everything out. But if he doesn't, isn't the office still open during Spring Break?
