yeah!!

ok i did get through to mrs moon. i am very happy aboout that. Guess what miss J!!!!!! i got a 10 on my SAT essay and i improved my score over 200 points and i didnt even study for this one but there is still alot of room for improvement. i am up at 2:08 in the morning reading 1984, the book is has a tendancy to be my secret lullaby (if i spelt it correctly) but i love English so i intend to get it done. So i downloaded the read alopng track so when i read i can hear a voice and that helps me to stay awake. I love the idea of annotating tho it def helps you to remeber and jot down any question that you may have through out the book. Oh back to my SAT i scored the highest on my critical reading, shocking and the least on math hahaha which is kinda backwards.well any way enough about me how is your summer? and are you missing your APers yet? lol! to all the rest of my fellow classmates how is your summer going? When are we all going to hang out as a class? We need to do it in July somtime maybe the end or so. but i am going to get back to my reading.
P.S
i am loving the big apple!!!!!

Creepy Guy in the Club

Remember, 4th blockers, when Destini was doing the "creepy guy in the club" dance? Well. I found him! XD
The whole video, guys. It's a match made in heaven.

I linked the subtitled video, because it would shock me if any of us spoke Turkish. =p
I actually really like the song! Tarkan just needs dance lessons.

MRS J!!!!!!

Hey MRS J,
i really need to get through to Mrs. Moon. How do i do that?

Ms. Jones

Guess what? ...Chicken butt.

No But really, I made a 1750 on my SAT's without studying!

I know "Think how much better you could have done if you studied."

I'll study before I retake it, but I'm really happy.

And I just though you should know I did kick ass on the english comprehension and writing skills and made a 10 on my essay :D

So the moral of the story is that you don't have to study to do well on the SAT.

The Beautiful Game

I had to post this, seeing as the whole world will be gearing up to watch the beautiful game of football (soccer). I, and millions, if not billions of others, have been waiting four years for this. I especially, have been waiting longer to see an event like this take place on African soil. I don't know why most Americans don't appreciate football, but I'm hoping people will take a couple hours off just to watch one game. If you're cheering for the American team, don't expect them to go past the quarterfinals, but anything can happen. Also, some people need to understand the magnitude of this event. The World Cup is a ridiculously huge event. The biggest sporting event in America is the Super Bowl, right? That draws around 100 million viewers. In comparison, the world cup draws 7 times as many viewers, with viewer ship nearing 1 billion. People in third world countries who are living in slums will find a way to watch the game, so you should as well. Anyway, in short, watch at least one game of the world cup. I posted a really nice commercial for the game and a song called Wavin' Flag by the Somalian singer K'Naan. Word.

Book Club!

The first meeting of AP Lang's book club, although others are very welcome, will take place on June 14 at 2 'o'clock at Barnes & Noble. Everybody can bring one or two titles that you have either read or want to read for consideration.
A book club is something that requires a certain amount of commitment, so please decide if you are willing to dedicate the time needed beforehand.

Thanks, guys! I'm looking forward to see you all. =)

The Facebook event page is here: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=134291603252482
